Play is a a vital part of a child's life. It is truly the way young children learn. Children also learn from others. For children with disabilities, experiences with more typically developing peers can occur less often. These times of playing with peers can offer tremendous models of speech, motor and cognitive skills. Children learn quickly from other children. Building Blocks Preschool Playgroup will provide and opportunity for ALL children to play and learn from each other in a supported environment.

This preschool playgroup will include children from ages 3-5 years old. Some children will participate with school district staff support. You may register your child for the semester by contacting the WFC. Parents are included in all playgroup activities. School staff will spend time each week with parents discussing topics such as speech, sensori-motor and developmental stages.

Each week will include activities centered around a theme an involve crafts, cooking and sensori-motor fune! There will be music, movement and storytime.

Love & Logic is a way of working with children that puts parents and teachers back in control, teaches children to be responsible, and prepares young people for the real world, with its many choices and consequences. Love & Logic offers adults an alternative way to communicate with children. The techniques produce immediate results because the techniques are simple, practical, and easy to learn. "Making Early Childhood Parenting Fun!"
- Parents of teeny, tiny kids (birth – six) you’ll learn how to:
- Show your tots that whining and arguing does not pay
- Put an end to misbehavior in public
- Smooth-out mornings and bedtimes
- Calm sibling bickering and battling
- Take the battle out of meal times, tooth brushing, bathing, etc.
- Make potty training fun
- Teach respect, responsibility, and self-discipline
And much, much more! There’s great news!
When parents start Love and Logic early in their children’s lives, they dramatically up the odds that the teenage years will be fun…instead of frantic. They also create kids who’ll begin school ready to learn…instead of ready to drive their teachers batty. There’s even more great news!
